Students will be learning about the tradition of European masquerade balls, creating their own masks and playing the role of Renaissance characters. They are going to meet the inventor of the printing press Johannes Gutenberg, the physicist Galileo Galilei as well as the artists da Vinci and Michelangelo. They will also be creating their own inventions in the mould of Leonardo, rediscovering new perspectives in painting, learning to dance Renaissance court dances and debating on science and religion.

Children will be diving into researching the future and trying to imagine what it could be like. This involves exploring futuristic cities and designing a new civilisation, imagining what people will look like and what will bother them in hundreds of years. The children are going to write a futuristic play and create an art collage, paint a landscape of the future and design clothes for our descendants. Students are also going to have a discussion about the impact of modern technology on the future and an ethical debate.

Children will be exploring the life of the great empire of the ancient East in greater detail: they are going to have a feast and see what the ancient Persians ate and drank, find out what they believed in and what Zoroastrianism was, try on the costumes of kings, merchants and warriors. They will also be creating tapestries and mosaics with Persian patterns, exploring the architecture of ancient cities, staging a puppet show, recreating an ancient parade and building a paper model of Persepolis, the capital of the Empire.

The children are going to immerse themselves in the Palaeolithic Age. They will be playing like researchers, go on a cave expedition and make archaeological findings. They are also going to imagine themselves as prehistoric people: they are going to learn how the early farmers and gatherers lived, try to make fire, reproduce the hunt for prehistoric animals, create cave paintings, make Stone Age jewellery, reproduce the dances of primitive people and design their shelters.
